Start with the chocolate, Owen. It works every time.
The little voice in his head was a light, impish alto, bright with amusement and no small amount of mischief.
Owen ignored the voice as he strode into the precinct, his briefcase in hand. He didn’t generally pay much heed to it these days, preferring to handle things on his own. This fact amused the owner of the little voice very much. He ignored her amusement too.
It didn’t take long for him to find the tiny office he sought, and he knocked on the door.
